Welcome to the Auburn Industrial Development Authority (AIDA) website.
AIDA was established by an act of the New York State Legislature in 1969 as a public benefit corporation to promote and assist private sector industrial and business development opportunities.
In recent years, AIDA has been a leading force in the economic development field of Auburn, New York. We have helped attract and retain such innovative businesses as NUCOR Steel, McQuay International, and the Auburn Community Hotel. This public benefit organization has worked to help grow such vital companies as Community Computer Services, Wegman’s Food Markets, Auburn Armature, Inc., and Carovail.
AIDA encourages economic growth through financial incentives. Whether helping to establish a new business or expand existing ones, we provide resources needed to create job opportunities that contribute to a healthy and prosperous economic environment.
What sets us apart from the rest of the pack? Perhaps it’s our track record, which boasts several successful businesses that now call Auburn home. Perhaps it’s our location, in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York State. Located within 60 miles of approximately 50 universities and colleges, less than a day’s drive to major cities such as New York, Boston, Toronto, and Philadelphia, Auburn is a vibrant small city that boasts a ready workforce, safe neighborhoods, convenient shopping, good schools and a warm and inviting community.
